Joanna Caracoussis L.LB B.COM

Principal

Joanna Caracoussis graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2011 completing Degrees in Law and Commerce. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in the same year.

 

Having worked in criminal law since her admission, Joanna has a wealth of knowledge and practical experience in this field. In recent times, Joanna has also forged a reputation as a sought after child protection lawyer. A dedicated advocate, Joanna takes the time to get to know her client’s and their needs which is evident in her compassionate nature and drive to achieve the best outcomes. 

 

Joanna’s ability to simplify complex legal issues means she offers straightforward advice that is in her client’s best interests. She takes the time to make sure clients are aware of all possible outcomes so that they can make informed decisions about their legal matters.

Appearing regularly in the Supreme, District, Magistrates and Youth Courts for traffic offences through to complex major indictable matters, Joanna has worked in both criminal defence and prosecution. Her practical experience, coupled with her unique insight of prosecutorial operations and procedures offers an invaluable benefit to her clients. 

 

Recognising that parents often feel alone and uninformed during their interactions with the Department of Child Protection, Joanna has developed a passion for child protection law and is  dedicated to empowering and supporting parents as they navigate the system.

Joanna is a member of the Legal Services Commission General Panel and is also a member of the Law Society of South Australia.
